Hey there and welcome to the Digital Nomad Life Podcast. I'm your host, Krista, also known as Kristabella Travels on social media. I always say my handle at the beginning of every episode because I really want to encourage you to send me a DM if you have any comments, any questions about this podcast. Honestly, I record these standing in my bedroom in Bali and I often feel like I'm speaking into the void. So, you know, it's so good to know whether you like the content, don't like the content, have episode requests if you resonate with any part of the story, if it helped you. Um, I just honestly love to hear from you. So feel free to slide into my DMs on Instagram at ChristabellaTravels at any time. And maybe the topic of this episode will actually really support you today, because that's why I'm making it. What I'm talking about today is this phrase that I've heard so many times, especially recently. I mean, I'll tell you why, especially recently, but um I've heard this phrase a lot recently, and it is this I just don't know if I'm cut out for entrepreneurship. So you know that I am a career coach, but not your average career coach. I'm a career coach who helps people escape the matrix, break out of the nine to five, and start a remote business that lets them have ultimate freedom, lets them travel the world, and lets them make uncapped earning potential. Honestly, it's an amazing, huge transformation that people make once they start working with me. And the thing is, um, in my older content, like content that I posted, I don't know, years ago when I was obsessed with traveling and I was really using my location independence to be a full-time traveler, people would see me, you know, sitting on a beautiful beach and on my laptop, or just like being all over the world. And I feel like that is something that a lot of people want. They really want to have this exciting unlimited vacation experience, basically, um, which is amazing. I don't regret having an unlimited vacation for five years of my life. But the thing is, the way that I was able to achieve that unlimited vacation was with the business. And I think a lot of people, they're like, oh, I really want that lifestyle, but I'm not cut out for it because I'm not entrepreneurial or I'm not insert whatever quality it is that you think that you need in order to make that lifestyle happen. I think that there's these common misconceptions that people have about what entrepreneurship looks like. Personally, I feel like these misconceptions come from famous entrepreneurs like Gary Vaynerchuk or Alex Hermozy, who are addicted to working. They are always promoting structure and super early wake-up times. Like they'll tell you you got to join the 5 a.m. club. If you want to be successful, you better make sure that you're willing to sacrifice and you're willing to do this and do that in order to be an entrepreneur. And uh I just find that kind of hustle culture. I don't want to say that it's toxic. It's just not necessarily true. Like, I think that there are a lot of people that are totally capable of doing the hustle culture way of life, and then they can ultimately be really successful in whatever success means to them, right? For me, I think success looks a little bit different than someone like Alex Hermosy. I don't know if you guys know who Alex Hermosy is. Um, his handle is just Hermosy, H-O-R-M-O-Z-I. If you don't know him, um he's just, you know, if you're trying to get into the entrepreneurial world, you should probably know his name. Again, he's like maybe the most famous, quote, pop famous entrepreneur at the moment. He writes a bunch of really great business books and he puts out so much valuable content. Like this dude really is very giving in his free content. And I think that's why he's ultimately become so famous. Anyway, he also, though, talks a lot about how all he does is work. He is working just, yeah, all the time, and he has no desire to have kids. Um, he doesn't, it sounds like have a lot of interests outside of making money. Um, it sounds like he's very driven to be a billionaire, and that's like his main goal. And so he will feel more and more successful, maybe the more famous he becomes and the more money that he makes. So the thing is, if you are associating this, meaning I'm not cut out for this to be like what that is, then of course you might think that I'm not cut out for this, because very few people I think are actually cut out for that, cut out for that way of being an entrepreneur. Personally, I'm sure as hell not cut out for that. Hell no. Um, I actually just made an Instagram story earlier today where I was, it was before I recorded this episode. And um, I just was filming my bedroom, how like it's 11 a.m. and the curtains are closed, and I'm still in my pajamas, my hair is a mess, I don't need makeup on, and I'm gonna record my podcast walking around my room, but I'm just dilly-dallying and um I like only just had my coffee. And for me, this is what I'm cut out for. You know what I was not cut out for was corporate, actually. For me, having to be somewhere by 9 a.m. looking presentable every day, oh my God. And like having to sit in a at a desk every day for five days a week and to be productive that whole time and not get lost in daydream or like try to go off or like be prevented from going off and doing creative work, which is what I was really yearning to do. I was just not cut out for that. So personally, I don't know. I mean, I have ADHD. And by the way, I think a lot of entrepreneurs, at least female entrepreneurs, have ADHD because what they're not cut out for is corporate. But I think people have entrepreneurship on a pedestal again, because of people like Alex Hermosy and Gary Vaynerchuk. And again, all just all these like hustle culture dudes. Maybe if you're a man, go for it. If you're a woman, if you're someone with ADHD, I really feel like actually entrepreneurship is probably something that you're more cut out for. And I can talk about that in a minute about why I think that ADHD actually really lends itself to entrepreneurship. But for now, I just want to reassure you that you saying I'm not cut out for this, like honestly, nobody is right away, especially if they're coming from the corporate environment, because you've been led to believe that entrepreneurship has to look a certain way. And you've been trained to basically be like a robot in a way. Like you've been trained to believe or associate that work and productivity and success looks a certain way and requires you to act a certain way, which is be super, super consistent and um take directions from someone else and to be productive for so many hours. It's just I really feel like people don't understand what entrepreneurship actually is, and therefore they get scared of it. And so they think that, oh, if the life that I want requires me to be an entrepreneur, I guess I can't be, I guess I can't have the life that I want because I can't be an entrepreneur. My friend, don't worry. We're gonna break down why you're scared of entrepreneurs. Well, we already talked about why you're scared of entrepreneurship, but we're gonna talk about how to start trusting yourself so that you can believe that you are a cutout for this if you really desire the lifestyle. Okay, look, entrepreneurship isn't for everyone. It's not, but at the same time, I really believe that entrepreneurship doesn't have to be that complicated because there are so many resources that are out there for people to have. So if entrepreneurship doesn't have to be that complicated and you are very motivated by the reason why you want to be an entrepreneur, for example, you want to have a specific lifestyle, then you are cut out for entrepreneurship. You just need to get through your fears that are holding you back from seeing that you are cut out for it. So again, I'm not here saying that everybody in the world should be an entrepreneur, but you, whoever you are listening to this, you found this podcast. You found this podcast because something about the title, Digital Nomad, appealed to you specifically. And this is a pretty niche podcast, by the way. Like if you found this podcast, it's because the algorithm genies or whatever, fairies connected you with it because there are billions of people in the world, and most of them have zero desire to be a digital nomad. Most of them don't feel like they are lacking freedom in their life. Or if they are lacking freedom, they don't dare to dream about it because they feel like it's so far away. The fact that you are even able to dream about having a more freedom-focused life to me says that you actually do have everything that you need in order to make it happen. But sure, I I can totally acknowledge, I can totally validate that even if you have all the tools, even if you have all the resources, if you're scared, it's still gonna feel impossible. It's or it's still gonna feel so far away. It's still gonna feel far-fetched, it's still gonna feel like a pipe dream. So, in that case, let's talk about how to break down the fears that you might have about being, quote, not cut out for this. And let's get you believing in yourself. Because if you can believe that you can do it, guess what? You'll be able to do it. The reason why I'm emphasizing that is because honestly, being determined, what I believe is the number one thing that will make or break your success. If you want to have success and you believe that you can, that you could, that it is a possibility that you could have success. The thing about being an entrepreneur is you will naturally find creative solutions in order to get that thing that you want. You will get resourceful. So the thing about entrepreneurship is that it's not something, it's not a quality that you're born with to be entrepreneurial. Entrepreneurship is not a personality type, it's actually a skill set. Now, some people naturally have the skills of being fearless and being confident and being creative and being super motivated. And that's why I think actually that people with ADHD end up being really good entrepreneurs. Because something about people with ADHD, it's like they get hyper-fixated on something and uh maybe they're a little bit neurodivergent. So they are not as worried about failure, or I don't know, actually, you know what? I'm definitely not an ADHD expert, even though I am fully embodied in an ADHD person. Um, but yeah, I feel like my ADHD, for example, gets me hyper fixated and hyper-focused on a long-term goal, on a vision. It's like I, and I, as you probably know, if you listen to this podcast, I'm a very visual person. Like I see, I like see metaphors behind my eyes all the time. So if I end up seeing a vision of something in my future that I really want, I'm like, that's what I want. And I don't know how I'm gonna get there, but I'm gonna get there. Okay. So by me being like, I want to get there, I'm going to get there. That doesn't mean that I'm disciplined. That doesn't mean that I'm smart. That doesn't mean that I am capable, even. It just means that I want to get there. And therefore, if I want to get there, I am so much more likely to invest in myself. I'm more likely to ask curious good questions that will get me the answer that I need. It will make me less afraid of looking dumb because I care more about my vision and I care more about my goal than looking dumb. The thing about being an entrepreneur is just that you have to kind of be okay with not knowing what the fuck you're doing. That's essentially what entrepreneurship is. And it's really different than the way that you've been trained to be in school and in corporate. In school and in corporate, it's like when you raise your hand, you're essentially outing yourself in front of the classroom as not knowing an answer when everybody else knows the answer. Because everybody else is trying to do the same freaking thing. Everybody is trying to get the same outcome. But when you're an entrepreneur, you're not trying to get the same outcome as everybody else. Actually, I think that if you are trying to get the same outcome as everybody else, that is maybe you being like a plug-and-play business owner or like someone that works in an MLM, like multi-level marketing thing, like a like a pyramid scheme, basically. Which, like, I don't know if I would call that kind of person an entrepreneur. Because when you're an entrepreneur, you are trying to solve new problems that other people haven't solved before, or you're trying to create something that hasn't been created before. Now, when I say that, don't freak out that you need to have the most amazing, creative, unique business idea. Like, oh, my business idea isn't unique enough for me to be counted as an entrepreneur. Look, my business, for example, I'm a coach. I'm a business coach and I'm a career coach. That has existed for many, many, many years. There are many, many, many other career and business coaches, but there is no one that has launched the Digital Nomad Life Academy. There is no one that has done it in the exact way that I have done it. And therefore, I'm an entrepreneur. Even though my business model is tried and tested, like I have a community and I host calls every week and I have a podcast to market my business, et cetera. Like all these things are things that other people have done before. It's just that I'm doing them in a way that it's going to reflect who I am and no one is me, just like no one is you. And therefore, even though my coaching business is not a super unique business, it still is my business. And therefore, I can ask other people about how they've run their businesses and I can get advice from other people. But ultimately, at the end of the day, no one has ever created my business before. And therefore, I still need to come up with my own creative solutions. This is something that I tell my clients that are inside of the Digital Nomad Life Academy all the time. Is like they might come to me and ask sometimes, like, what should I do? Like they're looking for advice. And the way that I respond to that is like, okay, here are some things, here's maybe what I would personally do, but here are some things for you to consider. And ultimately, what do you feel like is the answer for you? And if they don't know, then I'll ask them more questions to help them come up with their own answer. And at the end, if I still say, okay, here's my advice as someone who's maybe been where you are years ago, still please remember that I am just one other human. And I also have no freaking idea if what I'm suggesting to you is definitely going to be what's right for you. I really teach and preach intuitive entrepreneurship because when you try to copy someone else's business, that's what makes you not an entrepreneur. That's what makes you following the rules. And that is corporate thinking. And corporate thinking keeps people stuck. Corporate thinking keeps people at the same income level. Corporate thinking strips people of their creativity. Corporate strips people of their out-of-the-box thinking, generally. Okay, disclaimer, generally. I hate to make sweeping generalizations like that, but um I'm just what I'm really trying to do here is distinguish what being an entrepreneur actually is and why people feel like they are not quote cut out for it. And again, you probably feel like you're not cut out for it because you are stuck thinking like someone who works in corporate. And obviously there's exceptions to every single rule. So don't come after me. Anyway, to summarize the point that I'm trying to make here is that being an entrepreneur doesn't mean that you're doing anything in any specific way. In fact, it is the exact opposite of it. So for you to be cut out for being an entrepreneur, all that actually means is you're willing to do things in the way that feels right for you. And it means that you're willing to make mistakes. It means that you're willing to not look like the smartest person in the room. It means that in fact, you're willing to step into rooms where you feel like the dumbest person because you know that's how you're going to grow. Because as an entrepreneur, your goal is growth. Your goal is not following directions. Your goal is not following the rules. Your goal is not to live a cookie-cutter life. Your goal is to live a creative expression of yourself. Your goal is to be authentic. Your goal is to be goal driven. Your goal is to be fully tapped into your own ambition. It's to discover who you really are and to use those qualities in order to maximize your life and maximize your career and maximize your business and therefore maximize your income and maximize your life. Entrepreneurship, I stand by this. I will stand by this. This is the hill that I will die on. Entrepreneurship is the best personal development journey you can ever go on because it's uncomfortable. And that's on entrepreneurship too. You need to be willing to be uncomfortable. Okay. Comfort is where people don't grow. Comfort is corporate. Even though actually I don't think many people are comfortable in corporate. I think they're just like psychologically comfortable because everybody else is doing it. So therefore they feel safe. But your comfort zone is where you stay stuck. It's outside of your comfort zone where you grow. And again, what I just said about entrepreneurship, it's all about growth, it's about expansion, it's about doing things that are outside of your comfort zone. So if you are someone who's comfortable being comfortable, if you're comfortable being comfortable, if you love following the rules and you are happy to live a cookie cutter life and you aspire to do things in the same way as everybody else around you, then yeah, you know what? You're probably not cut out for this because you're cut out for the life that normal people live. Okay. But um, I just I really feel like anybody who's listening to this podcast, you are just obviously not that person. Like, why would you ever listen to a podcast like this? You would never, you would never discover it. I feel like maybe if you're in a car listening to a podcast with other people, and other people have chosen this podcast episode, then maybe okay, you might happen to be listening to this episode. But if you are the one that chose this episode, like please hear me. You are cut out for it. You just have to get through your fears. And we just need to normalize that everybody feels scared. It's almost like that's the point. Now you may be wondering, Krista, okay, well, do you feel scared all the time? Do you feel super uncomfortable? Are you outside your comfort zone all the time? And I guess at this point, I would say I'm comfortable with all of those things. I'm comfortable being uncomfortable because I have a level of trust within myself at this point, which is a muscle that I built with my blood, sweat, and tears, lots of tears. But I built the muscle of being uncomfortable. And that's why I feel really good as an entrepreneur, even though I'm still on a roller coaster of it. Like sometimes things are good, sometimes things are bad and well, bad, sometimes things are scary. Sometimes I'm in, I'm feeling in total abundance and overflow. I'm booking business class flights, I'm slamming down hundreds, well, I'm slamming down a lot of money on uh big purchases, um experiences. I'm like saying, oh fuck yeah, I'm gonna go to Antarctica this year. Like sometimes business be like that. And other times business be like, oh, wait, I actually um am maybe looking at the prices on the menu because my business didn't quite do the numbers that I wanted it to do this month. And I just like I was just telling this to my friend last night. Basically, she was asking me just generally about my business because she's known me for a long time and she's seen me go through this like big wave, like, oh my God, in 2022, my business was crushing. It was amazing. Um, now it's still like fine, but you know, I know what it feels like to be really, really, really way high up there. And so I was just sharing with her how like, you know, now things are a little bit different because I changed my business model. And essentially, when you change your business model, you have to be comfortable taking three steps back in your income because you're changing things. The thing that was working for you. Now you're I basically I like threw it away. I like threw away the thing that was working for me financially, but energetically, it was then no longer aligned with the way that I wanted to do business. Basically, just to put this into context, I used to um use a launch model, which meant that I would essentially make 50% of my income only two times per year. So in January, I would welcome in a whole bunch of clients and then I would close the door and then I would open it up again in August. So there were two times per year where I would make big money and then I would, yeah. Anyway, now it's more of like a consistent flow, which is way better on my nervous system. I'm happier, I have more time, I'm more spacious, I am more relaxed, I get to say yes to even more things now, but like the numbers might make someone think that I'm now less successful, for example. But I actually feel more successful. It's just this weird, it's just this weird way of looking at business, I guess, because I'm no longer subscribed to the definition of success that has been taught to me my whole life that success equals money. And that again is just on me doing things my way, living life my way, choosing what matters to me, operating by my values, living life on my terms. Now, back to that conversation as we were talking about, you know, my ups and downs, like the fluctuations with my income. She was asking me, like, how do you stay sane when the numbers aren't looking as good as they had in the past? Like, do you ever get worried? Do you ever feel like you're in financial scarcity? And I was really honest with her. And I was like, Yeah, like sometimes, of course. I mean, I'm still, I'm still a human, but at the end of the day, I think I have built enough trust within myself to know that things could turn around and get sparkling amazing at any time. And the second that I just want to sit down and dedicate a little more time and attention to growing and scaling my business, I trust that I can figure out a way to do that. What I'm really dealing with right now is actually coming into this season of determining what it is that I really want. What is that goal? What is that future vision that's going to excite me and inspire me? Because if I'm honest, like my life is dope. I have so much free time. I live in my dream home. I have an amazing schedule. I love my community. I'm in just the location of my dreams. I get to I get to say yes to everything. Like, I just like for me right now, um, because I'm not desiring to be an arbitrary multimillionaire, like, like I want to have enough money to feel an overflow, but at the end of my life, I'm not gonna feel successful because of money. I'm gonna feel successful about the way that I've lived my life. So I think the thing is I feel successful now. And that's honestly probably why I am less motivated to really grow my business because I'm like, life is good. Why would I, why would I change this right now? Like I'm happy. So I think that's another message that I want to share with you is feeling unsuccessful is okay. Like honestly, the the desire and the drive to be successful, the desire and the drive to achieve a specific outcome that you are not yet at is super motivating. And it is what drives people to do incredible things. In some other episodes, I've talked about shadow work and light work. And um, I think that in life, it's really important to acknowledge what our shadows are, what are the things that we're insecure about, and and heal them so that we can ultimately be secure, happy, whole, content people. And I'm also at a point now where I'm like, ooh, do you know what? Like my previous shadows and insecurities were highly motivating to me to do big things in my life. Like back when I felt like I really wanted validation from social media, that was when I grew the most. And back when I was feeling so trapped and stuck in my nine to five, back when I was feeling just like so unexpressed and suppressed, was when I did the bravest thing I've ever done, which was book a one-way ticket to the other side of the planet with$3,000 in my pocket. So I just want to reassure you that any fears that you have, whether your fear is I'm not cut out for this, or I don't know if I'm good enough, or if your fear is like, I don't want to get sucked into social media because I'm worried about the way that I'll look or whatever. Like, sometimes these fears are actually the most motivating things that we can leverage in order to drive our success. So the key here is not ignoring your insecurities and avoiding them. Because when we avoid them, we end up doing something different. But when we can say, okay, this is my insecurity and I want to get through it, I want to get past it, I want to prove to myself, I want to prove to others, I want to make a name for myself. Because I want to show mom that I'm valuable or whatever, whatever it is. Sometimes that actually can be really supportive in your entrepreneur journey. And I bet you bet your bottom dollar that some of the most successful entrepreneurs actually have some kind of deep wounding within them that is the exact thing that drove them to achieve the level of success that they have. So look, your fears are a good thing to an extent, right? It's just the the I guess the real message I want to say here is feel the fear and do it anyway. You have me right now telling you, look, I'm speaking to you. I'm speaking to you, whoever you are, if you if you can't see my finger right now, I'm pointing at you, I'm pointing at your heart. You are listening to this podcast for a reason. It is because you are the kind of person that dreams big and deserves to have a better life than what you have. And maybe your life is pretty fucking good already, but you want more because you are a growth-oriented human. That's why you're here. You are here because you know there's more. You are here because you want to get to the end of your life and be like, I did that. I made that happen. That's why I'm successful. And it has nothing to do with money. Well, a little bit. But money isn't the only thing. Money is not success. Success, at least to me, is how you feel at the end of your life. And if you are Alex Hermosy and you're gonna feel so good about your billion dollars in the bank, amazing, great, you're successful because that's your definition of success. Again, I know that whoever you are listening to this, you discovered this podcast for a reason that your soul and your spirit know. And you just gotta get your ego to get the F over your fears. Get over the worry of I'm not cut out for this. I'm telling you right now, yes, you are. So you have two options. You can get triggered by what I'm saying right now, and you can scroll away and never think about me again, never think about your dreams again, decide right now. No, no, no, no, no. If I if I agree that I am cut out for this, that means that I'm gonna have to insert the blank. What's gonna change in your life if you actually decide right now that you are cut out for this? Are you gonna are you gonna have to tell your family that you no longer want to be a lawyer? Are you gonna have to disappoint your grandma because she's getting older and really wants you to live a half a mile away, but you actually dream of traveling to the sacred valleys of Peru? Are you worried you're gonna have to say goodbye to those coworkers that you love? Are you worried that you're gonna have to hand in your notice and then actually make some freaking decisions? Are you worried that you're gonna have to actually invest in yourself? You're gonna have to actually have to invest in getting support in starting your business because even though you are cut out for this, you don't know what you're doing. Because being cut out for it doesn't mean that you know what you're doing. Okay. Like again, entrepreneurship, it's it's a it's a muscle, it's a skill, it's something that you learn. Like it's sales, it's marketing, it's pricing, it's offer creation, it's messaging. Like there's a there's a lot. I'm not denying that there's a lot that you need to learn to be a good entrepreneur. But are you cut out for it at your baby stage of having no knowledge? Yes, yes, you are cut out for it. That doesn't mean that you know what you're doing, but you can learn to do what you need to do. Everybody learns it. Nobody comes out of the womb knowing all about marketing. Nobody comes out of the womb knowing how to project their profits and losses for the year. Okay. So the takeaway here is you are cut out for this and you probably have a lot to learn. And that's okay. It's okay that you have a lot to learn. We all have a lot to learn. We, as entrepreneurs, as entrepreneurial people, you and I, we always have a lot to learn because we're growth-oriented people and we're never going to stop learning. We are lifetime learners, and that's just something you got to get on board with. Well, it's something you gotta get on board with if you actually want to have the life that you desire. Now, let's talk quickly about what you actually need to learn in order for entrepreneurship to work out for you. Because I know we've all heard this statistic that like 80% of businesses fail or something like that. And I really believe that it's because these people who fail in their businesses, they actually haven't taken the time to learn about marketing. For me, I mean, I'm a I'm a lifelong marketer, basically. Well, since I was like 18. Um, I had my first marketing internship and I worked in marketing for many years before I started my own business. And now that I have my own business, essentially, honestly, like 90% of the work that I actually do is still marketing my business. And I just feel like that's something that a lot of businesses don't understand. Like they have 10% of their budget going to marketing, which is absolutely ridiculous. Like, if you don't have customers and clients coming in, if people don't know your name, you don't have a business, right? You you just have a website or whatever it is that you that you've put all your money into. So, in my opinion, if you wanna be an entrepreneur that actually does make money from your business sooner rather than later, you do have a lot of marketing to learn, but you can learn that. And the good news is that this is something that you can learn on the side while you still have the security of your job. Now, I mean, if you don't have a job right now, okay, now you have all the time in the world to be learning about marketing and building a business. The thing is, though, in the in the earlier days of building your business, first of all, it's a lot to take in. Like when you're a student, you're not going like at least when you're a college student, you're not going to class eight hours a day every day. Like that's too much. Like, you need to process all the stuff and you need to study and like try to remember it and then implement it. You're probably going to learn a lot more, actually, if you have fewer classes and are able to do a deep dive on that subject matter. So, in my opinion, the best way to go about being an entrepreneur is to keep your job, keep an income, and then start learning about business and marketing on the side. Um, side note, that's actually how I've organized the digital nomad life academy to be completely suitable for people that have full-time jobs. We actually usually do calls outside of nine to five hours and often or every single Sunday, there's also always a call. So, because I've I've created my business really out of love for you, for my listeners, for people that I actually genuinely want to help. And I just I don't believe in telling people you should quit your job right now and go all in on building your business. Because, first of all, I didn't do that. I kept my full-time job for six months before I quit it. Um, like while I had a business coach and while I was building my business. Because I care too much about feeling financially secure for me to just throw my income out into the wind and hope for the best with my business. Like I had no idea what the frick I was doing at the beginning of building my business, just like you probably also have no idea what the frick you're doing. And again, that's fine because you can learn it and you can learn it faster when you don't just have Chat GPT or a book or a podcast to listen to, but you actually have a real person guiding you specifically through the process. So that's just a little note on the Digital Nomad Life Academy. It's very much a business coaching program where we have a heavy emphasis on business foundations teaching you how to think like an entrepreneur, how to embody being an entrepreneur so that you actually learn the skills and get the identity of entrepreneurship so that even if you're building your quote, first business inside of the Digital Nomad Life Academy, you're now set up for life to be an entrepreneur. Cause, like, you know, being an entrepreneur, it's not a personality trait, but it is a lifestyle. And it's pretty hard to go from the entrepreneurial lifestyle out back to corporate, for example. Like once you, once you actually do start making money in your business and quit your job, you are not going to want to go back to corporate. So when people come into the Digital Nomad Life Academy, I like to set them up for life by not just helping them build their first business, but really understand the psychology and the essence of a new business so that they can go on and create multiple businesses, be a serial entrepreneur once they graduate. And by the way, if you are not familiar with what I teach inside the Digital Nomad Life Academy, the way that I've been able to make my business scalable is I teach everyone the same business model. Everybody is doing all different kinds of things, but um, everybody is building a high-ticket small service provider model. And that's because this business model is, I believe, I almost feel like I know, like I'm convinced, I can almost guarantee that this business model is the fastest and simplest way for beginners to create a highly profitable business in less than six months. So, what I mean by a high-ticket small service provider business model, and I'll contrast that with other models that are different in a second, but basically it means that you are taking some kind of skill, some kind of talent or interest that you have, and you are supporting another person that has a budget to pay you to do that thing. And the high ticket, meaning you're charging at least$1,000 per month for your service. If you're charging$1,000 per month per client for your service, you only need five clients to be making a$5,000 salary, which is a pretty decent salary when, you know, it five clients a month probably is not full-time hours. So that's actually really reasonable for you to have as a side hustle. And the way that I teach you about pricing and money mindset and the psychology of entrepreneurship identity,$1,000 a month is the minimum. But some of my clients have been able to charge$30,000 a month for their services. It just depends on what the service is. Um, you might not have a$30,000 service in your repertoire right now, but um that's okay. You, I can guarantee you that even if you have literally nothing to work with, within three months, you could have at least a$1,000 a month service in your repertoire. And I will teach you how to do that. Um, so yeah, people in the DNLA, Digital Nomad Life Academy, they're consultants, those are probably the ones that make the most money, coaches, also highly lucrative. Um, or they might be managers, editors, designers, or assistants. Like there's there's so many different services that you can offer. What we do in the Digital Nomad Life Academy is I help you choose the one that's right for your personality. And then we also marry it with a niche of something that you're really interested in so that the subject matter of what it is that you're doing is really exciting for you. And you're gonna love to market and brand your business because it's gonna be on a topic that you feel really lit up by. So we start off the whole program with a career assessment call, where we I help you identify what's the perfect, most aligned business idea for you to start off your entrepreneurship journey with. And then I teach you how to build a business in, again, the most simple business plan that exists, which is the high-ticket small service provider business. Contrasting this with, for example, an e-commerce business, super, super, super different e-commerce business. It's really complex to set up. There's a big investment up front. You need to know a lot about marketing. It's more risky, it's more technical. Um, and the runway in order for you to make money with an e-commerce business is I would say like a minimum of six months, but it could be, it could be years if you're a beginner. But even if I think you know what you're doing, you're probably looking at like six months for something to be actually profitable from the moment of inception of like when you actually start the business. Whereas with a small service provider business, the moment that your business starts is the minute that you decide this is my business, this is my business idea. From three months from that moment, I would say is like a reasonable amount of time for you to start making, for you to be starting making real money with it. Um, so yeah, I really believe in this business model. And again, there's like about a hundred people inside of the DNL that are all working on this, which is why when we do group coaching calls, three times minimum per week, even though everybody is building a different business, which is nice because it's not like people in the program are competing against themselves like uh like they would be in pretty much every other business coaching program. Um, nobody, there's like no competition, it's just only support. And every coaching call, you hear other people being coached through their businesses. And it always supports you because you have the same business model, even though the actual work that you're doing and the structure and the niche are different. So, yeah, we talk about business, marketing, identity of entrepreneurship, and so much more inside of the DNLA. There's like 120 plus hours of video content with step-by-step directions, so many worksheets and activities for you to do to make the process faster and smoother. And um, you just the support of the community is unparalleled. Like it's really nice to have business partners, friends, mastermind people with you every single step of the way because entrepreneurship can be a little bit isolating. I don't want to say lonely. Well, it can be if you don't have other entrepreneurs in your network, um, but isolating for sure, even if you do. So, yeah, anyway, I made the Digital Number Life Academy out of love because I want people to have a beautiful, abundant life. I want people to achieve their dreams. I want people to be that orb of happiness and inspiration for other people around them. If you listen to my last episode about AI and the change of technology, I actually really believe that our economy is gonna do so much better when there are more entrepreneurs and our economy doing better is just the tip of the iceberg. Like, if I'm honest, I'm a little bit worried about the future of humanity with AI. I'm gonna listen to just listen to the episode, right? But um anyway, I just want you to know that I am I am highly motivated to support people in changing their lives and becoming entrepreneurs because I just believe that it is the only way for our society to gracefully enter into the next eon, the next era of humanity, which is coexisting with this kind of crazy, fast evolving technology. Anyway, I don't want to get existential again. That's for the last episode. Uh go check it out. But anyway, um, if you are feeling like if you're feeling empowered right now to take some freaking action on your dreams, I can offer you two things that you can do right now that will move the needle, that will get you closer to your dreams. They're both super low commitment, low effort things, but will make a huge impact. So, first of all, is you can watch uh a training that I made. It's 90 minutes. It's called Five Steps to Work From Wherever. And I break down the whole high-ticket small service provider model, why it works, why it's the best, and how to do it with tons of examples of people that have done it well so that you can really see the range of the kind of businesses and career ideas that are part of it. So it'll probably also get your mind spinning about the different kinds of businesses that you personally could create. So super effective and um it's just it's one of my most popular trainings. Go watch it. You can find it by you can go in the show notes. There should be a link down there. It's called the business training. You can go to www.digitalnomadlifeacademy.com slash biz B-I-Z Biz Training. So if you go to the URL, you can find it there. Or you can slide into my DMs on Instagram with the keywords five steps or comment it on any reel and I will send you a link to the training. So the training, five steps to work from wherever, is an amazing place to start if you want something that you can kind of do in the background or like something that you can do this weekend while I am asleep, because obviously we're probably on pretty different time zones, unless you're in Bali or Australia. Or if you actually want to have a conversation, which is personally my preference. Like I always like to talk to a person. That's how I learn the best. Um, I do have a member of my team offering a remote readiness rating call. So, what happens on this call is you speak to her all about, you essentially tell her all about your background, what you've done so far, what business ideas you are entertaining. And then she'll actually give you a rating of zero to 100 about how ready you might be in order to step into your entrepreneurship journey now as opposed to later. And if the answer is later, if she's like, oh, I think you have a lot to learn, then she'll be able to share with you some action items and things that you can learn just so that you can get the ball rolling and you're not stuck in this phase of life where you're hoping and wishing for something to be different, but never actually doing anything about it? Like you might as well take a step closer. And you know what? It's the end of 2025. Like set yourself up for success for 2026. What if by the end of 2026, or let's say even summer 2026, what if next summer you were in your dream destination making at least$5,000 a month with your side hustle or full-time business, doing work that actually lights you up, doing work that makes you feel good, that makes you feel purposeful, and that also makes you feel safe and secure. Because now that you have this situation, you can't get fired. You can't get laid off. You are self-sustaining, you are riding the wave of technology, you are part of the future, and you are living your dream on your dream schedule, around your dream people, in your dream destination, in your dream home, with your family, with your loved ones, with new friends, with a new partner. You could have all of that and feel financially free and secure if you started your own business, but you have to start now because this shit takes time. You're not gonna hear me make false claims about how much you're definitely gonna make or how fast it's gonna take. Like, I don't know who you are, but I would love to find out. So, again, the two things that you can do right now, you can slide into my DMs and you can type five steps and I'll send you the training, and then I'll probably shoot you a message and just say hi after, and we can have a little chat in the DMs. Or if you want to get on an actual phone call, again, send me a DM on Instagram with the keyword RRR for remote readiness rating. And then I'll send you a link to the calendar and you can book a call and talk to an actual person about um, yeah, whether this is actually a really viable option for you, or if you might need to wait a little while or learn something in between. So, a couple things for you to do. I highly encourage you to take action on at least one of these things because your life isn't gonna change with you sitting on your butt doing nothing, just consuming podcasts. Like, I know that this might sound like or it might make you feel like you're being productive by listening to this, but you're not unless you actually do something. So, do something about your life. You are cut out for this. You can do this, feel the fear, and do it anyway. Thank you so much for listening to the Digital Nomad Life podcast. Please leave a rating if you can on Apple or Spotify, especially Apple. Leave me a review. Um, please don't be mean. Some people are super mean. I don't know why people are like that. But if you could leave a nice review, that would be so nice. Um, and again, say hi and I'll see you in the next episode. Thanks. Bye.
